This year, we’ve teamed up with the amazing MUA Ellie H-M to give you a host of amazing movie-inspired looks you can recreate at home, whatever your plans are this Halloween.

Whether you want to keep it low-key or go all-out for a costume sure to be remembered, these versatile looks can be adapted to whatever level you’re after and are the perfect excuse to get dressed up to the nines.

Find all the tips you need for nailing these stunning looks below!

1. Corpse Bride

This look is a guaranteed show-stopper – we can feel it in our bones! Inspired by Tim Burton’s animation Corpse Bride, we love how achievable this insanely dramatic look is and can’t wait to see how you put your spin on it.

For this look you’ll need:

  • A blue/aqua coloured wig.
  • A veil.
  • Our Classic Long White Waist Taming Corset.
  • Contour: match your skeletal contour colours to your wig and include more blue/green shades for a real-life cartoon effect. Take note of the skeleton arm contour too!

    2. 'Other Mother' – Coraline

Just a mention of Coraline is enough to give us shivers, but this terrifyingly brilliant look truly upped that fear-factor to the next level. Check out this incredible ‘Other Mother’ inspired costume, perfect for achieving a super creepy yet still elegant and feminine look.

    For this look you’ll need:

    • A long, dark wig.
    • A dramatic smokey eye to create the ‘button’ effect.
    • White face paint and black eyeliner for the dark veined, shattered-skin effect.
    • Our Black Satin Underbust.

      3. Masquerade ball

Think Van Helsing, Phantom of the Opera and Sweeney Todd – gothic masquerade-inspired costumes are extremely popular for Halloween and are featured in a huge number of classic Halloween horror films. An incredibly theatrical and opulent look, this versatile costume can be dressed up or down to suit your requirements.
